Our Mission
The mission for Cuba Development Group (CDG) shall be to increase the quality of life within our community by means of aggressive, collaborative, and innovative economic and community development efforts. Further, CDG shall strive to revitalize and redevelop areas of cultural and historical significance to Cuba, Missouri.
Vision 2020 – Strategic Plan of Cuba Development Group
Recently, CDG completed the first draft of its 10 year strategic plan entitled Vision 2020. Vision 2020 shall be the roadmap for the direction of CDG’s core efforts over the next decade. Vision 2020 will be reviewed on an annual basis throughout 2010 – 2020 by the CDG Leadership Team as a means to respond to evolving needs within the region, to remain competitive in the global marketplace, and to measure the success of the organization. Vision 2020 is a multi-phased strategic plan that contains key benchmarks for success to be measured at the 1, 3, 5 and 10 year marks. Cuba Development Group Board of Directors
Currently ten community members make up the Board of Directors for CDG. The make up of the Board of Directors is established by the bylaws of the organization. It’s membership is made up of a minimum of eight (8) persons, and a maximum of twelve (12) persons, elected by the majority of the Board. One position, the Mayor of the City of Cuba, Mo., is a designated member of the Board of Directors. Other desired members of the board may include a representative of the Cuba Public Works Department, Cuba Industrial Development Authority, Cuba Chamber of Commerce, Cuba Superintendent of Schools, Commercial Banks located in Cuba, and other “at large” members from the Cuba business community. If no representatives are designated from the above list of desired members, “at large” members could be elected to assure at least eight (8) members of the board of directors.
