Kansas City, MO – September 17, 2010 – Cuba Development Group, Inc. (CDG) participated in the 52nd Annual State of Missouri Governor’s Conference on Economic Development in Kansas City, Missouri. CDG was both an exhibitor and a sponsor of the conference. The annual conference, administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED), brings together the state’s economic leaders to explore the latest trends, programs and education with regard to all aspects of economic development in Missouri.
During the conference, CDG displayed some of Cuba’s most strategic assets, including the new Barnett Business and Technology Park, the new Economic Incentive Program, the Crawford County Enhanced Enterprise Zone, its strategic local partnerships, and key tourism information including the murals. In addition to being the only community development organization to exhibit at conference, CDG President Mardy Leathers held key meetings with strategic partners at the state and regional level. Further, CDG sponsored the conference by supporting an afternoon break out session. “Having an opportunity to showcase our tremendous assets along with engaging in networking opportunities with key individuals from across the state and region is without doubt imperative to our community’s success in the area of economic development,” stated Mardy Leathers, President of CDG. This was the second consecutive year that CDG participated in the conference.
